Emma's Page...

Emma update:

Well, it's a while since I wrote this page to grace my owner's website, but not much has changed... I'm still 6 1/2 kg, 7 if the scales are feeling unfair... I still spend my time sleeping and eating, though nowadays I'm known to get grumpy if my chosen sleeping place is occupied or I haven't been fed when I want to be. Honestly, you just can't get the staff these days. My younger days of squirrel chasing and lamppost climbing are over really, I prefer curling up in the Sun and occasionally teleporting round the house to confuse the staff.

And guess what, I've even updated my typical day just for you, the general public! Who said royalty wasn't accessible!

Emma!

Hello! I'm Emma!  I'm a six and a half kg. industrial waste disposal unit cleverly disguised as a white and tortoiseshell moggy.  I live with my three staff in Saddleworth, near Manchester and I spend most of my time asleep on my bed in my room in my house which I kindly let these three people live in as well.  Any time I've got when I'm not sleeping, I'm usually eating (my staff pay me food in rent - what do I need money for!). The staff think that I'm inaffectionate, but that's only toward them. I'm nice really. Oh yes.

I was born around April 1992 and I'm now in my prime. I still like to run round my large garden at some points though even though my stomach seems to be unable to corner like the rest of me - I don't know why - Chris (member of staff responsible for my bed and occasionally playing with me) says something about inertia. I do seem to be getting quite fat these days, but every time my chef goes on holiday, Chris puts me on a diet. Most unfair if you ask me.

I thought I'd give you an example of my typical day...

  • I get up when the chef disturbs me with my breakfast.  This is amenable to my lifestyle - to be woken with breakfast, and usually head out for a short stroll if the weather's nice with my partner, Tom. He often around in the morning, waiting for me of course... The weekends are a different matter - the staff are lazy and I sometimes have to hit the walls or scream until somebody sees to me.
  • A wash next then bed for a few hours - though the impudent staff seem to think sleeping in my beds is allowed! They'd be on the floor if it wasn't for these contracts they got me with... If not, I'll move between comfortable positions round the house, keeping the staff on their toes and occasionally sneaking into the kitchen for a snack. Other humans are not welcome in my house, and in case they're papparazzi, I go into the garden and hide. Honestly, those damn media types, it isn't enough to pose in the lounge window occasionally or sunbathe at the front of the mansion!
  • Lunch! I often get lunch nowadays, but for some reason I don't get it when the chef's away, which is becoming more and more regular! Honestly, the staff seem to think they're doing me a favour, not providing a service!
  • Back to bed for the afternoon, if it's sunny, I'll go outside and sunbathe with Tom. Only round the back of the mansion though - avoid neighbourhood gossip. Tom's wonderful, but he doesn't seem to have one particular home to go back to and he never tells me where he's been all night...
  • 4.15! High Tea! If the staff are roused, then I'll get tea by 5, but normally I'm ignored until 5.30, when I normally get the food I heartily deserve for a long stressful days...
  • Evening - a good time for sleep! Annoying point is that my staff seem to want me to develop the habit of going out for a bit just before bed - I get kicked out at 10 p.m.!
  • By 11 I'm usually in bed and preparing for another hard day.

Anyway, here's some of my favourite links on the internet...

Oh, and if you want to send me a message, email me!
